The Government of Andhra Pradesh is re-launching the Adarana scheme under the name ADARANA II, to empower the rural poor through creating additional income by improving their productivity by providing the improved modern tools and gadgets at subsidized rates to the Backward Class persons. ADARANA II main focus is to provide financial assistance to the eligible people who belonging to backward classes in the state pursuing traditional occupations such as fishing, cattle and sheep rearing, toddy tapping, pottery, earth works, black smithy, weaving, gold smithy, brass smithy, carpentry, stone carving, laundry, oil pressing, basketry, hair dressing, tailoring and dyeing fall under 125 communities listed in the State list of Backward Classes and also to BC communities without the traditional activities who are practicing Agriculture and allied activities.
Main aim of ADHARANA II SCHEME is to modernize their tools and technology who are pursuing traditional occupations and also who are practicing Agriculture and allied activities belonging to the BC communities. This scheme is launched under the Ministry of BC Welfare Department of Andhra Pradesh in April 2018. The Managing Director, AP BCCFC Ltd., in his letter cited has proposed to re-launch the Adarana scheme under the name ADARANA II.
Under this scheme government provide 90% subsidy to the beneficiaries as 70% subsidy component, 20% NBCFDC loan and 10% beneficiary contribution for procurement. ADARANA Programme essentially focus on providing financial assistance in 3 slabs i.e., Rs. 30,000/-, Rs. 20,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- to purchase the modern tools and gadgets.
Adarana 2 Scheme is launched by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri. Nara Chandrababu naidu and in the Ministry of Sri Atchannaidu Kinjarapu BC Welfare Department of Andhra Pradesh. It is State Government scheme launched in April 2018. The main objective of the Adarana 2 scheme is to provide 90% on modern tool purchase to BC Communities.
ADARANA Scheme Objectives
- To provide financial assistance to the practicing artisans belonging to Backward Classes for acquiring improved modern tools and gadgets for sustainable Income Generating Activity and economic development.
- To empower the BCs by imparting necessary training to improve their productivity with minimum drudgery and enhance the service quality according to the market needs.
ADARANA Scheme Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit of BC beneficiaries should be between 18 to 50 years
- Beneficiary shall be registered under Praja Sadhikarika survey (Smart Pulse Survey)
Nature of Assistance from ADHARANA Scheme
With a view to capitalize the concept of low hanging fruits ADARANA Programme essentially focus on providing financial assistance in 3 slabs i.e., Rs. 30,000/-, Rs. 20,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- as unit cost with 70% subsidy component, 20% NBCFDC loan and 10% beneficiary contribution for procurement of Model tools and gadgets.
However, it is actively being considered by the Government to provide required high-end mechanized tools to the practicing artisans of BC communities over and above the ceiling limit of Rs.30,000/- under ADARANA PLUS scheme. Separate guidelines will be issued for this scheme.
Documents required while filling Online Application of ADARANA
- Mobile Number
- Ration card Number
- Aadhaar Card copy (for uploading to the Application Form scan your Aadhaar card, it should be in JPG/JPEG/Png formats with size less than 1 MB)
ADARANA 2 Online Registration Procedure
Step 1 : Go to the official website or just click here http://adarana.ap.gov.in
Step 2 : Enter your mobile number so that the system will generate and send the One Time Password (OTP) to enable filling of application form.
Step 3 : Click on ‘Get OTP’. An SMS with OTP will be sent to your mobile Number.
Step 4 : Enter the OTP in the text box and click ‘ Validate OTP and Proceed’. Your Application form will be opened to be filled.
Step 5 : Enter the Ration Card Number and click Enter. The list of family members will be populated. Select your Name from the Family Members list. It will be taken as the ‘Applicant Name’.
Step 6 : Father/Husband Name, Date of Birth, Age and Address will be auto-populated from the Ration Card database of civil supplies Dept.
Step 7 : You need to Select Caste Category and Caste Name you belongs to.
Step 8 : You need to Select the Educational Qualification and Trade details.
Step 9 : Upload the Aadhaar Card copy with the prescribed specifications, tick on the checkbox and Submit the application form.
Step 10 : You will receive the Application Number on the webpage. Note this Application Number for checking the status of your application.
Step 11 : You will need to appear in person at the MPDO office of your belonged Mandal for the selection interview. The date of interview will be intimated to you through SMS to your registered mobile number.
