Deendayal Upadhyay Kisan Kalyan Yojana is Launched by the Government of Uttarakhand in the year 2019 to give beneficiary to small and marginal farmers. All the farmers will get loan at lower interest rates through this KKY. The financial assistance will be given to the farmers in the hilly areas to earn more income and also to promote mixed farming. The main objective of KKY 2019 is to double the farmers income by 2022. Farmers in rural areas can sustain their livelihood and also get relief from debt trap.

Integrated Cooperative Development Scheme and Deendayal Upadhyay Kisan Kalyan Yojana that worth about Rs.3340 crore is launched on 14 February 2019 in Rudrapur, Udhamsinghnagar in Uttarakhand. The inauguration was done by Prime minister Narendra Modi.

Two new schemes are Launched by the Government of Uttarakhand to give a major benefit to the agricultural sector and also to raise the living standards of farmers. The two schemes are named as Integrated Cooperative Development Scheme and Deendayal Upadhyay Kisan Kalyan Yojana. Through this KKY government of Uttarkhand will provide farm loans up to Rs. 1 lakh at just 2% interest rate which is very low and there had expanded the time to make repayment of the loan amount within a duration of 3 years. The charges for not paying the loan amount would be imposed after 1 year of non-payment of the loan amount by the farmer.

Benefits of Deendayal Upadhyay Kisan Kalyan Yojana

The Government of Uttarakhand will provide farm loans up to Rs. 1 lakh.
The Interest rate for the loan will be very low that is 2%.
The time to make repayment of the loan amount will be within a duration of 3 years.
The charges for not paying the loan amount would be imposed after 1 year of non-payment of the loan amount by the farmer.

Eligibility for Deendayal Upadhyay Kisan Kalyan Yojana

Applicant should be a Citizen of Uttarakhand.
Applicant’s profession must be farming in agricultural sector.
Small and marginal farmers are only eligible to apply for this scheme.
