UP Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana in the year 2019 was launched by Yogi Adityanath. The main objective of UP Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana is to provide free medical treatment of up to Rs.5 lakh to poor people. The Treatment can be done from any government or private hospitals. Already UP Ayushman Bharat is covering some people rest of people will be covered under UP Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana. According to the officals report around 5.6 million poor people left out of the flagship Ayushman Bharat.

UP Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana 2019 is a new healthcare scheme for citizen of Uttar Pradesh. It is a sub part of the Central Government Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). UP Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana will also provide free medical facilities to poor families who are not covered under Modicare. Through this Scheme around a million households or 5.6 million beneficiaries who are deprived of Ayushman Bharat which is a National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS). The government of Uttar Padesh has allocated Rs. 111 crore from the Budget 2019-2020 for UP Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.The main motive of this scheme is to provide free medical cover of up to Rs.5 lakh per family per annum.

Eligibility for UP Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana

The Applicant should be a Resident of the State Uttar Pradesh.
Applicant should not be a beneficiary of Ayushman Bharat or PMJAY.
No age specification has been highlighted in the scheme. People falling in young as well as senior age can get the benefits of this scheme.
There should have prescribed income criteria according to the notification.

Benefits of UP Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana

To provide free medical treatment of up to Rs.5 lakh to poor people.
It will provide medical coverage of up to Rs.5 lakh per family per annum.
UP Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana will also provide free medical facilities to poor families who are not covered under Modicare.

PM Jan Arogya Abhiyan is estimated to cover around 1.18 crore poor families (6 crore people) against the PAN India beneficiary count of around 50 crore.

Along with the Ayushman Bharat the state government will cover 6.56 crore people through UP Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
Government has also setup Rs. 47.50 crore for setting up of 100 bed hospitals across the entire state.

There will focus on the use of the modern technology such as tele-medicine to reach out to remote areas in order to provide adequate medical and healthcare facilities.
IT is obseved by the authorities that around 53 districts of Uttar Pradesh had been benefited under the National Mobile Medical Unit programme.
Government has also launched 750 wellness or Arogya centres with the total count rising to 2,150 in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh also lay emphasis on savings cost on the procurement of medicines and other medical equipment in order to provide proper healthcare to poor and other deprived sections of the society.
